Freedom Calling Dinner Gala

January 19th, 2019
This January Freedom Calling will be hosting their first annual dinner gala and you are invited!
Join us as we raise funds and awareness of the issue of human trafficking. This formal attire evening will consist of a full dinner program including a sit down meal, live music and a silent auction.
We will also be joined by Christina Maricic, a survivor of human trafficking who will share with us her personal experience and shed light on the unique housing needs of survivors.
Nationally there is a huge lack of housing for survivors of the commercial sex industry. One report showed a total of 632 beds available. This same year there were over 4850 identified victims. The primary service requested by victims of human trafficking is shelter and we want to meet this need.
Would you join us and help fund a residential housing program, which will provide safe, thriving family homes, a supportive community, and the tools needed to live empowered lives.

About Freedom Calling
The commercial sex trade traps and exploits men and women around the world. Globally, there are an estimated 20.9 million victims of human trafficking, and in the USA, records show California has the highest number of victims. Freedom Calling exists to bring freedom to those enslaved in the commercial sex trade. Our mission is to see lives restored and hearts redeemed.
Our solution is HOPE:
HOUSING // We are currently raising funds to launch a year-long Residential Program which aims to bring transformation through a holistic curriculum. The program will focus on restoration, education, and re-acclimation to a healthy, and holistic lifestyle.
OUTREACH // We regularly visit local illicit massage parlors where we aim to offer relational support, practical help, and English lessons.
PREVENTION // We are currently working with schools, community groups and our counties Human Trafficking Task Force to raise awareness in our community and educate individuals about the existence of human trafficking and what they can do to help combat the issue.
ENTERPRISE // We believe in dreams. We are currently working towards creating sustainable small business to both offer women leaving the commercial sex trade, successful job experience as well as creating a valuable income stream to fund projects. This is happening through the launch of micro businesses and building business partnerships.
